Grants & Loans

Money needed to help fund community development projects may be available through grants and/or loans.  The Area 15 RPC prepares grants and loan applications on behalf of our local governments.  Once a project is identified, the RPC should be contacted first to determine potential sources of funding.  The RPC also offers grant administration services to assist with the necessary paperwork and procedures required by many grant and loan programs.  The RPC has administered projects for more than fifty (50) local governments in our region, which have totaled over $44.5 million.  Examples of projects include upgrading existing or constructing new wastewater collection/treatment facilities, water systems, community facilities, streets and roads, storm water drainage, and cultural/recreational amenities.  Other major projects include improvements to the community's housing stock through rehabilitation activities.
