Project Development Assistance

The Area 15 Regional Planning Commission provides technical assistance to communities for initial guidance on new and developing projects.  RPC Staff is available to help local projects get started moving in the right direction.  The RPC offers experience with creative brainstorming, project feasibility, conceptual planning, and funding resources. Once a project is clearly identified, the RPC project development services can best be utilized.

A typical consultation includes evaluation of the project development request, a site visit, and meeting with project representatives.  The RPC's project development assistance is intended to help identify upfront issues, constraints, and opportunities. If a project requires additional professional services such as architect design or engineering, the RPC can assist with the process of developing a Request For Proposal.

The goal of this program is to provide guidance to help community leaders clearly identify their project, and develop a plan of action to make concepts become realities. The RPC's involvement is typically only initial and temporary, but may be longer term depending on the needs of the particular project.
